The Old Warehouse of Hokkaido Exploitation Agency is a two-story brick building built in Motomachi Park in 1880 next to the former Hokkaido Government Hakodate Branch Office as a storehouse for books. Visitors can feel a sense the building's long history from the roofing tiles and the dates inscribed on the bricks. The building exudes an elegant orange color when illuminated at night, forming a beautiful beacon of light in the wintertime.
