Sumiyoshi Sports Ground is a recreational field with small berm located close to Omori-hama Beach. In the summer the ground hosts sandlot baseball and soccer games as well as other ball sports, while in the wintertime the the berm is used for sledding and mini ski runs. The top of the ground's hill provides commanding views of the Motomachi District running along the Tsugaru Straits as well as Mount Hakodate standing tall in its unique seasonal colors.
