Completed in 1933, the historic Hakodate Public Hall is today a public hall popular among city residents. The plaster walls exude a subdued ambience, while the strong acoustics and generously-sized 346 seats make the hall ideal for small and medium-sized concerts. The facility also hosts college-level lifelong learning classes for senior citizens and pottery classes for all ages, making it a center of civic learning and interaction.
