Future University-Hakodate was founded in 2000 as an information and communications-focused college. The campus, located next to Donan Shiki no Mori Park, is situated on a steep range of hills in a mountainous area, and is known for its spectacular views of downtown, Mount Hakodate and Hakodate Bay. The modern-inspired glass-walled campus buildings, open and filled with an abundance of natural sunlight, contrast sharply with the rich natural surroundings and retain a unique style and flavor of their own.
