Tomoe Ohashi Bridge is a 1924-meter long seaside road connecting Hakodate's bay area waterfront with Route 227. The top of the bridge span provides views of the lush greenery of Mount Hakodate and surrounding downtown area, while the dazzling night views include the lights of Mashu-maru, the ferry once operating the Hakodate-Aomori route, and the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses. Many city residents can be seen traversing the bridges sidewalk on foot or by bicycle, while enjoying the refreshing sea breeze.
